August was a big month for special openings, with the Asian Health & Service Center (AHSC) in Lents Town Center one of the most heartwarming.
AHSC Board Chair Dr. Eric Szeto, along with the Center’s executives, neighbors, friends, clients and supporters joined elected officials and civic leaders on an auspicious date – Wednesday, 8/8/18 – to celebrate the completion of what Center CEO Holden Leung called a “house of love and kindness.” With a theme of “Bridge to the Community,” the opening was a proud day for the Lents neighborhood and a celebration of unity, diversity, and community-building partnership.
