Rosewood Community Center re-opening

The Rosewood Initiative NPI district celebrated the completion of its community center remodel on Thursday, May 25 with a gathering of friends and neighbors, music and food. The Neighborhood Prosperity Initiative has always been about communities helping themselves and working from the bottom up in partnership to make change.

The new center space, which will use up to $240,000 in tax increment funds generated by the NPI district, includes a music studio sponsored by Portland Parks and Recreation and a computer lab donated by Mt. Hood Community College.

Prosper Portland has been proud to contribute general operating support and staff time to help Rosewood grow. We hope that our financial support will continue to inspire a growing, diverse base of funding sources that will allow The Rosewood Initiative to fulfill its mission to make the Rosewood neighborhood a healthy, safe, prosperous community.
