On Thursday, November 9, from 4:30 to 8:00 p.m., more than 100 local multicultural vendors will display their products and services at My People’s Market, a market and celebration for Portland’s entrepreneurs and small business owners of color.

The event, to be held at The Redd at Ecotrust, 831 SE Salmon St, Portland, is intended to showcase Portland’s entrepreneurial community, communities of color, and a citywide commitment to equity and inclusion. In addition to serving the public, the marketplace will be a forum for business owners of color to make business-to-business connections and for larger corporate sectors to showcase their own commitment to underrepresented entrepreneurs.

Prosper Portland Executive Director Kimberly Branam said, “This event is more than a market; it’s a celebration of our diverse community of small businesses and entrepreneurs, and of what we can accomplish together to make Portland a more welcoming and inclusive place where those businesses can thrive.”

Live music, artwork and food will be available at My People’s Market, which is one of a series of connection opportunities for Prosper Portland’s Mercatus platform and Inclusive Business Resource Network. Admission is free. View the event page for more information and a list of featured artists and food and beverage vendors.

My People’s Market is designed and supported by Travel Portland, Prosper Portland, Partners in Diversity. and YGB.
