Prosper Portland and Emerging Leaders announced the recipients of the first Small Business Internship Grants at a celebration on Thursday, February 28. Thirty companies submitted applications, with a dozen receiving grant funds to support paid internships for students of color this coming summer. The internships provide more equitable access to meaningful learning opportunities and professional development; at the same time, the grant recipient businesses will gain unique insights as they diversify their talent pipelines.
