A new program designed to strengthen and support Portland’s diverse business district organizations. Launching in Fall 2025, this program will offer training opportunities, technical assistance, and grant funding.

Who is this program for?

This program is for existing or emerging Business District Associations, Neighborhood Prosperity Initiative districts and Enhanced Services Districts.

Your input is vital to tailoring the program to meet the needs of business districts across Portland. Please complete our Needs Assessment Survey by September 15, 2025, to help guide the design of training sessions, grant criteria, and other support services.

We are already available to offer general support. Program-specific services will launch in Fall 2025.

No. Business districts will not be required to pay a membership fee to access trainings or participate in the grant program.

The grant program is expected to launch in January 2026. Guidelines and eligibility requirements will be developed based on feedback from the Summer 2025 needs assessment.

We expect to award approximately $100,000 in grant funds during the 2025–26 fiscal year.

The training program is scheduled to launch in Fall 2025. Your feedback through the needs assessment will help shape its content and delivery.
