What: The Portland Winter Ice Rink and Woodsy Winter Village opens Saturday, December 16 in downtown Portland. In addition to the skating rink, the Woodsy Winter Village features a pop-up marketplace, food, warm beverages, and a cozy lounge with board games, seating areas and warming pods.
Construction started Monday, December 4: trucks are arriving with the tent, power trailers and the ice rink. On Friday, December 8 the tent will go up and the Winter Village build-out begins. Crew will start filling the ice rink on Monday, December 11. The entire buildout will be completed on Thursday, December 14.
Tickets are now on sale! $20 Adults/$12 Youth under 12/$10 Bobby Skating Aid. Tickets include skate rentals. Ticket discounts will be available with purchases from local retailers.

Who: Ice-America will be producing the Portland Winter Ice Rink and is hiring for 2023-24 temporary seasonal positions: Supervisors, Skate Monitors, Skate Hosts/Greeters, and Cashiers. When: Saturday, December 16, 2023 to Sunday, January 28, 2024. Ninety-minute skate sessions run 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. December 16-31 (closed on Christmas Day). Winter Village is open 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. through December with modified hours in January.
Why: The city, the private sector, and non-profit partners have been hard at work planning events for the holiday season and the new year, both longtime favorites and brand-new activities like the Ice Rink, to encourage residents and visitors to explore downtown, support local businesses, and enjoy all that our amazing city has to offer.
