On Wednesday, June 6, software maker Autodesk celebrated its new Central Eastside headquarters with a grand opening that offered attendees a chance to explore the new space (including spectacular views from the rooftop deck), experience the future of making things, and hear from Mayor Ted Wheeler and other local leaders.
In keeping with its commitment to spur new technologies and ideas, the company provides space in the building for the PIE & Uncorked Studio Incubator to support a diverse set of entrepreneurs in manufacturing. Prosper Portland staff worked closely with Autodesk for more than a year to connect the company with local organizations, exploring incentives and addressing other relocation issues, including transportation, parking and public safety.
