Portland Winter Ice Rink Extends Dates
Following the success of the nationally recognized Portland Winter Ice Rink and Woodsy Winter Village, the Ice Rink has been extended through Sunday, February 11. In addition, the Ice Rink will partner with the Portland Winter Light Festival and will add a winter light exhibit to the site.
Taking place from Friday, February 2 to Saturday, February 10, the Winter Light Festival attracts more than 200,000 visitors annually and features more than 120 art installations and more than 300 artists and performers at locations all over Portland.
“Since opening day in mid-December, the ice rink has proven to be popular with Portlanders and guests alike,” said Prosper Portland Executive Director Kimberly Branam. “Extending the closing date will enable more people to enjoy the rink and winter village, and we are excited about all of the events happening at the rink in the coming weeks. Partnering with the Winter Lights Festival will only add to the visitor experience and we are excited to be a part of this beloved Portland tradition.”
Winter Light Festival Executive Director Alisha Sullivan said, “Prosper Portland has been a long-time supporter of the Winter Light Festival, and we’re thrilled to have the Winter Ice Rink be part of this year’s festival. We will announce more details about the festival and activities at the Ice Rink very soon.”
Located downtown at the west end of the Morrison Bridgehead at 499 SW Naito Pkwy, the Portland Winter Ice Rink is open through Sunday, February 11 with skate sessions from 10 am – 10 pm on Saturday and Sunday and from 3 – 10 pm Wednesday through Friday. The rink is closed on Monday and Tuesday.
Save time by reserving your tickets online. Prices are $20 for adults and $12 for youth under 12. Tickets include skate rentals; the Bobby The Seal Skating Aid can be rented for an additional $10. Ticket discounts will be available with purchases from local retailers.
