Prosper Portland is proud to announce the second round of grants from the Reimagine Oregon Economic Opportunity Investment Fund. The Prosper Portland Board of Directors has approved more than $1.3 million in grant funding for 25 businesses, with investments ranging from $17,000 to $100,000. Awards were presented at a reception for grant recipients this week.

The Board’s action follows a robust application cycle, where Prosper Portland received an impressive 276 proposals totaling more $60 million in requests.

“This was our most competitive grant cycle to date,” said Chabre Vickers, Director of Equity, Policy, and Communications at Prosper Portland. “Both the Board of Commissioners and the advisory committee were impressed with the strength of many proposals. Investment decisions were made to foster economic growth, support entrepreneurs, and create opportunities for long-term prosperity. The projects selected will have a significant impact on the Portland community and contribute to the program’s success.”

Grants from the Reimagine Oregon Economic Opportunity Investment Fund are made in accordance with Portland City Code 06.07.145 and direction from Portland City Council when the program was transferred to Prosper Portland in 2023. The grants, which are funded with cannabis tax revenue, are also made in alignment with the City’s Advance Portland strategic vision to foster wealth creation within underserved communities by creating access to economic opportunity for business development and growth.

“I am excited to see the continued investment in our innovative entrepreneurs and service providers here in Portland,” said Justice Rajee, Director of the Reimagine Oregon Project. “This program emerged to meet our need for investment in our city and effective governance to sustain the work. With this year’s awards we are seeing the positive impact of collaboration and commitment.”

Awarded to both for-profit and nonprofit entities that operate within the City of Portland, this fund is designed to allow economic projects opportunity for growth and capacity-building initiatives in one of three categories:

  • Accelerate Business Growth & Entrepreneurship
  • Build Community Wealth & Economic Empowerment
  • Create Anchor Projects that Enhance Community Engagement & Collaboration

The 2025 grant cycle reflects the program’s deep-rooted commitment to empowering local entrepreneurs, strengthening community organizations, and creating collaborative projects that promote civic engagement and economic resilience. A full list of awardees is included below.
