We join Mayor Ted Wheeler in his promise that Portland will remain a welcoming place for all people. In addition, we commend local CEOs and leaders, including those at Intel, Nike, Adidas, Columbia Sportswear, Puppet, OHSU and others for their swift, firm stands in support of openness and tolerance and against bigotry and discrimination. To new Portlanders, we say: the vibrancy and strength of our city depends on your presence and your contributions. Our many diverse communities make Portland who we are, and we stand with you. We are proud of our partnerships with organizations across the city that support refugees and immigrants through community-building, business technical assistance, workforce development and other investments.
