Peter Platt is the founder and owner of Andina Restaurant, an award-winning, fine-dining restaurant introducing Peruvian cuisine to the Northwest. Since it’s opening in 2003, Andina has been consistently recognized as one of the busiest and best restaurants in Portland and the region, with a portion of revenues dedicated to supporting international development work in Peru.
Before opening Andina, Peter worked on new project development in Peru for Mercy Corps. Platt is a board member of the Oregon Food Bank and Hacienda CDC. He holds an MBA from Yale School of Management and a bachelor’s degree in anthropology from Harvard University. He currently serves as the President of La Costa Verde, LLC – the holding company for Andina. He was appointed to the Prosper Portland Board of Commissioners on August 9, 2017.
