The Portland Development Commission and Oregon Manufacturers Extension Partnership have joined forces to initiate the NW Manufacturers Switchboard, an online tool to increase collaboration and resource education among Oregon and southwest Washington manufacturers.
Manufacturing was also a focus of the March 17 NW Youth Careers Expo, which PDC has sponsored for the past several years along with many area manufacturers. The Expo drew more than 6,000 high school students eager to explore the diversity of career opportunities in the Portland region.
