More than 50 residents reviewed the proposed designs for streetscape improvements on North Lombard on display at an open house held Thursday, October 22 at De La Salle North Catholic High School. Previous community workshops in March and April and walking tours in May informed this next step in the Lombard Street Investment Strategy.
The proposed improvements are intended to strengthen and enliven the street and create better connections. PDC has
$2 million budgeted for infrastructure improvements on the 2.2-mile stretch of Lombard, which will be supplemented with PDC’s storefront and pre-development (DOS) funds for local businesses and technical assistance provided by the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
