The Greater Portland Export Plan has sharpened the city’s focus on building local exports and attracting foreign direct investment, both critical to ensuring long-term economic growth.
Our strategic efforts have included recent trips to Japan and Colombia with local firms which are sharing Portland green expertise, best practices, and our deserved reputation for innovative products.
A business development trip to Colombia in early May has opened a dialogue with city leaders in Medellin, where we have started discussions for We Build Green Cities firms and Portland government officials to participate in a peer review planning project later this summer. read more >
