Sorel, a Columbia Sportswear brand, announced in late October that it would move its headquarters office to downtown Portland, bringing 45 employees from Washington County and the potential of 40 additional jobs.
Columbia acquired the Sorel brand in 2000 and co-located the team with the company’s global headquarters in Washington County in 2001. With estimated sales of $220 million in 2016 versus $50 million in 2008, Sorel has grown to become the second-largest brand within Columbia’s portfolio of global brands. PDC will provide $50,000 in relocation assistance.
