Fifty emerging clean tech companies had the opportunity to meet with national and international corporate investors and venture capital firms at the second annual Corporate Connections, a networking event sponsored and organized by PDC on September 10 at Oregon BestFest. Designed to promote investment in local and regional clean tech production innovation, Corporate Connections triggered a trio of deals last year between local companies and corporate investors. With the continuation of the event this year, PDC and its partners are looking forward to the start of many more productive relationships.
PDC’s Clean Tech strategy calls for increased support for entrepreneurs and highlights the value in promoting our innovative firms and their technologies to multi-national firms. Large firms often don’t have complete, well-rounded solutions and are looking for partners, suppliers or strategic investment opportunities to supplement their solutions or technologies. PDC plans in-bound and out-bound opportunities for local firms to demonstrate their products and services and improve their chances to partner with larger firms to scale up or enter new markets.
