The Malden Court Community Orchard (8729 SE Malden Court) celebrated its grand opening on Saturday morning, September 17. The $100,000 project received a boost of $30,000 via PDC’s Community Livability Grant (CLG) program.
Another CLG contribution supported the Installation of new playground equipment (Phase 1 of 2) which began September 10 at Lent Elementary School on SE 97th. The project received $100,000 in PDC grant funds, along with support from Portland Public Schools and volunteer hours from the PTA. The entire project will be completed in spring 2017.
