PDC is putting its sponsorship dollars and business development expertise to work this fall to support a number of events and industry opportunities. September’s work kicked off with Oregon Best Fest on September 9-10, featuring Cleantech Connections, an event PDC staffer Pam Neal initiated two years ago to bring local clean tech innovators together with corporate investors and venture capitalists.  Also in September, PDC staff attended the Urban Manufacturing Alliance conference to glean best practices for industrial development in the Central Eastside, and followed that up with participation in two water technology-related conferences to explore innovation opportunities for local companies.

Coming up next is Go Green on Wednesday, October 5, a sustainability conference for business and government which will feature entrepreneurs of color sharing their perspectives on the obstacles and opportunities facing sustainable business ownership in Portland.
