The Portland Development Commission will hold a public workshop Wednesday evening, Jan. 27 on the redevelopment of the four-acre Burnside Bridgehead site. The goal of the workshop is to present information and gather feedback on draft Framework Plan materials. These materials will then serve as a guide for the future development of the Bridgehead site.
This workshop will be held Wednesday, Jan. 27 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on the seventh floor of the b-side 6 Building, 524 East Burnside. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. and the program will start promptly at 5:30 p.m.
The program includes a presentation that will address how the Burnside Bridgehead site fits into the current real estate market, a project vision and principles, a development approach and potential outcomes. There will be opportunity for public input and questions and answers throughout the evening.
“The Burnside Bridgehead can be a true catalytic project for the Central Eastside,” said PDC Project Manager Geraldene Moyle. “The team has created draft materials that provide an innovative and flexible approach to creating momentum and we are excited to share these concepts with the community and stakeholders.”
The planning process will culminate in the release of a Burnside Bridgehead Framework Plan in late March 2010. After the workshop, the Framework Plan will be refined and a final guidebook to redevelopment will be presented to the PDC Board in the spring.
